If you can stitch a preprinted line and rock a hammer and staple gun, you can make a tuffet! In the first class, Lisa will teach you how to stitch your chosen fabrics to a muslin base to create the outer cover. In the second class, you and your classmates will help each other assemble your tuffet. (This is where that hammer and staple gun come into play!)

Your pattern has complete instructions and printed interfacing for making one tuffet.

The tuffet kit includes all of the “innards” of a tuffet. In it you get a wood base (with strategically drilled holes), four tee nuts, furniture-grade upholstery foam, upholstery batting, a button form, and cording. These are all of the unusual things that aren’t going to be readily available at your quilt shop or, really, anywhere else easily accessible. You will also choose from an assortment of feet that will finish off your tuffet.

You will need fabric that will make this tuffet your very own! If you have jelly rolls you’ve purchased over the years and didn’t know what to do with them, tuffets are a perfect way to use them up! Got a bin of scraps? Dig ’em out! Tuffets make great wedding and baby gifts, housewarming gifts, holiday gifts … you name it!
